Hosted by The Family Collective
9am - 10:30am on April 28th, 2022
Overview:
Do you ever feel like no matter how great your program is or how many people you serve, you keep coming up against the same roadblocks and challenges that are out of your control? Or find yourself saying, "If we could just solve X, it would enable us to do Y"? In this session, we'll unpack how systems thinking can help us solve big, complex problems in ways that individual programs or organizations can't do on their own. We'll define systems and systems thinking and explore principles for applying systems thinking to your work and the work of the Family Collective. You'll walk away with an understanding of how you can ask better questions, think about your work differently, and lean into the power of collaboration to effectively tackle the root causes of society's biggest challenges.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the definition and characteristics of systems
- Identify traditional ways of thinking vs systems thinking, and when to apply them
