Session 7.3:
Kids Home Initiative
Amy Barrow
Friday, October 29th, 2021
9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Family Homelessness is complex issue with a multitude of factors that contribute to the issue including; unemployment and underemployment, lack of affordable childcare services, lack of affordable housing and second chance housing properties, medical and mental health issues, access to transportation and other basic needs. We know that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to solve this community wide crisis. United Way of Greater Atlanta is partnering with multiple agencies in the community to help fund and implement potential solutions. This session will include information and strategies on finding safe and permanent housing solutions for families facing eviction, living in hotel/motels, and those fleeing gender-based violence.
