The Family Collective recognizes the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all members of our community. With a focus on immigrants and housing, this training event aims to provide valuable insights, information, and resources to empower individuals and families from immigrant backgrounds. 

 

Learn from Siloam Health about the unique healthcare challenges faced by immigrants and refugees, emphasizing the connection between stable housing and well-being.  

 

Discover the specific housing challenges immigrants face and strategies to navigate housing systems from TIRRC, a leading advocate for immigrant and refugee rights.  

 

Gain practical tools from TFC Partner, Catholic Charities, in providing housing services to immigrants, including affordable housing, homelessness prevention, and supportive services.  

 

By attending this training event, you will learn how to become an advocate for change, working towards creating inclusive and welcoming communities where everyone has access to safe and affordable housing. Together, let's work towards a future where every individual, regardless of their background, can thrive and find a place to call home.

Anna Notestine is the Youth and Older Adults Services Manager at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville. Anna has her Master's in Social Work with a specialization in trauma treatment from the University of Tennessee and eight years of experience working with refugee and immigrant populations.

Luis Pedraza

Resource Coordinator, TN Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition

Luis Pedraza is a second-generation Mexican American, whose parents immigrated from Mexico. He's been in his current role as a services coordinator since 2021 and has been working with partners and community members to ensure communities have access to various resources regardless of status.
