Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency, a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1971 as part of the National Community Action Network. The Community Action Network is a group of 1000+ anti-poverty agencies nationwide. For over 50 years, MCCAA has worked to improve the lives of low-income families, children, and individuals by offering services such as Head Start, home energy assistance, and USDA Commodities. MCCAA provides various services in Cheatham, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson counties. MCCAA provides Head Start services in Cannon County.

Marvin Cox

Family & Community Services Director, Metropolitan Action Commission

Marvin Cox is the Family & Community Services Director at Metropolitan Action Commission. He is a native Memphinian and has been with MAC for 19 years.

Lisa Wooley

Executive Director, Rooftop Nashville

Lisa Wooley began her work with Rooftop Nashville in 2006 as a part of the founding board. She served as Vice-Chair, Chair of the Board, and Interim Executive Director until stepping away in 2012. Lisa returned as the Executive Director in 2018. A Certified Christian Educator with the Presbyterian Church USA and seasoned in assisting nonprofits through times of transition, it has been exciting for Lisa to focus her skills on an organization and mission that is dear to her heart. She is married to Mike and has two adult children, a dog, and two cats.
